3 of our Peking Bamtams hatched 2 chicks together from a small clutch around 12 days ago. They are all first time mamas and were given 12 fertile eggs whilst broody. Yesterday, we introduced 4 chicks, same breed and age, carefully overnight and all 3 mama’s accepted them straight away and settled down with all 6 chicks in total. Today, about half way through the day, one of the mamas turned on a couple of the new ones, she went for one in particular. I’ve separated her, and the other 2 mamas are continuing to raise all 6, they seem very protective of them all. When might I be able to reintroduce the mamas who turned on the new ones, and does anyone have any tips for how to deal with situations like this?

I wouldn't. I would put her in a broody breaker and break her broodiness. Let the other two hens raise the chicks.
Thanks, I’ll do that.
She’s in a separate coop and I’ve put the only other adult hen who didn’t hatch any chicks in with her.
So I have:
2 x mamas in one coop happily co-parenting 6 chicks (2 they hatched, 4 introduced)
2 x adult hens, one of whom had co-hatched 2 of the chicks but then became aggressive to the introduced chick, the other had pecked all the chicks a bit but nothing serious.
Do you have any advice on how or when to introduced them back in with the mums and chicks?
My plan was to keep mum’s and chicks out in the run and let the other 2 free range next to them so the see them in the day, keep them separate at night, and after a few days of that put them all in together at night and observe the following day.
