When do ringneck doves start breeding?

I just received the breeding nests for my doves! Like always, I've always dreamt of breeding doves. But I'm a bit curious, how long does it take for doves to start breeding after hatching, and how long does it usually take for doves to begin nesting after they've become accustomed to their new environment? I got my doves from a breeder about several months ago, and they do look a bit young to me.

Females can breed from 8 months old. They sure are pretty birds.

We have a lone female and she has started making nests in a food bowl that she puts a few pieces of straw in. She flew in one day and adopted us but I'm yet to find her a partner. They aren't common where I am and we certainly don't have the colour varieties that you have.

My homing pigeons (which are really a domesticated form of Rock Dove) females begin breeding as early as 6+- months of age. The males mature faster and begin breeding sometimes as early as 4+- months of age.
They usually begin nesting after copulation. You can expect eggs 10 days after witnessing copulation or anytime before.

Thanks to all of you, but during some times, my doves don't get along, and occasionally they'll inch themselves closer to each other, especially when nightfall arrives. I'm quite uncertain if this is a normal habit while in the process of pairing up doves/pigeons for breeding.

Also, I haven't surely decided on which nest to use. There was no nest in the cage when I first got them since we didn't have any. When is a good time to insert the chosen nest?
