This is my first time owning chickens ever. I tried to search and I may not be wording it right. I have 2 RiRs, 1 BSL, 2 EEs, the 2 buff orpingtons I have aren't anywhere near laying yet. The bigger girls are about 18 weeks, and their faces are red. I am just not sure how red they need to be. The nesting boxes have been open for awhile as they all roost and haven't gone into the nesting boxes yet. Any help, or ideas are appreciated. I just want to make sure that everything is right. I recently switched from grower/starter feed to all flock since I do have one roo.

The first one is definitely the closest to laying. Oyster shell can be freely provided on the side and they'll take it as needed. Otherwise everything you're doing sounds good so far!
