Egg peritonitis in my bantam henWhat are you attempting to treat?
I don’t see antibiotics just the powders? How do those work for hensI got my antibiotics from allbirdproducts.com. They have antibiotics for pigeons that don't need prescription. Is my only option to mix it in water. Can I put the powder on a piece of bread or something like thatChickens need about amoxicilin 25 mg per pound twice a day. Every teaspoon is 5g. If you buy the 10% powder, 1 teaspoon has 5000mg x 0.1 = 500 mg. If you mix it in 100ml water, 1ml mix has 5mg amoxicilin. So a 5 lb hen gets 25ml (125mg) each time. Or if you mix 1 teaspoon in 20ml water, a 5 lb hen get 5ml.
