I live in Brooklyn and am creating a sustainable foraging habitat for a very small group of coturnix quail. I'd ideally like to have one mother and 4-6 of HER OWN fertilized eggs/chicks of any age (0-4 weeks). I'm really having trouble finding a breeder who can facilitate this. It seems like most online companies want to send you 12-30 fertilized eggs to incubate, but never full grown laying females.

So I'm looking for someone in NY state (don't mind a roadtrip) who might have what I need instead of going through a big breeder. I'd also love to have a continued relationship with this source, so that down the line I might be able to get a male from them that is outside the family to diversify the gene pool.

Feel free to email if you have what I'm looking for or know anyone - looking for backyard keepers and family farms, not the big guys!

Thank you kindly!

I am not NY, but just below you in south jersey. If you don't mind a ride to the country side

That would be great, probably looking to pick them up in August- is the proposed mama and a few of her babies an option? and they're japanese coturnix quail correct? pass on you email if you don't mind and we can set something up!

best wishes,
alexis
