Unfortunately my chicken, Cupcake, died this morning. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...-to-walk-leg-dislocated.1641700/post-28080814) I'm suspecting Mareks, but I want to do a necropsy to be sure. I'm not sure where to do it though. We don't have many avian vets near me. I'm in Western Washington, near King/Snohomish County. Anyone know where I can go, or who to call?

Thank you.
Call your state's poultry extension, they can help you arrange for a necropsy. In the meantime keep the body cold (but not frozen)

I assume the microscopic exam might include tissue examination, and that might have an extra cost, but worth it. I think most labs charge extra for Mareks testing, but the preliminary necropsy may point to Mareks.
