Which Automatic Door to Use?

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to get an automatic chicken door for my coop. It would be exposed to the elements and I live in Montana where it consistently can remain in the -20° F range and be quite windy. I have heard great things about the Run-Chicken but I am not sold on all the holes running down the center. I’m worried about wind and snow getting into my coop at night from those holes (our snow is very light, dry and tiny tiny flakes).

Anyone have any experience with this?

I have heard good things about the Omlet door, pullet shut door, chickcozy, and run chicken. I don't have any experience with auto doors but I know these are all highly rated and liked by people.

We are in the Colorado mountains and get wind and snow also. We have an Ador. Has served us well. I replace the battery yearly, as it always seems to get weakest during the coldest part of the winter.
