Greetings and new member here. Below are pics of my hen, Brownie. She has been under the weather for the past five weeks. Initially, hard panting. Took her to vet and they gave her Doxycycline for three weeks, oral for possible upper respiratory infection. They also took a stool sample and no bacteria.. It seems to have improved but she is still lethargic, and her crop is always empty although her appetite has been EXCELLENT throughout this entire time.
This past week she developed white flaky powdery substance anywhere across her body on her feathers. She is not molting I know the difference. I have sprayed her for mites and Banixx thats for anti-fungal. I also have been giving her epsom salt baths just in case. Her poop has varied from runny to solid.
These last couple of days I have noticed that she is also pecking at her neck below her beak. I have opened her beak to see if I see worms or anything but no luck. I am calling the vet again this week but was wondering what you guys think?
Again, her appetite is excellent but she is sluggish and her crop is always empty.
