White stringy thing on chickens eye

2 of my RIR pullets have developed a white stringy... almost worm looking thing in corner of their eye? They both act perfectly fine but ive had to remove them from the pen as the other chickens wont leave it alone. Not sure if this is serious but better to be safe than sorry!
Can you please post some photos and add your location as well?

It could be eyeworms. Get fresh fecal samples from both pullets and put them in a ziplock bag. Take the bag to a vet and have them look for worm eggs under a microscope.
Eye worms are white in color, thin and about 1/8" long. You can see them moving around especially in the corner of the eye.
Treatment is mixing a 50/50 water and Valbazen solution to flush the eyes. Then give each pullet a 1/2cc oral dose of Valbazen, then repeat again in 10 days.

You can also get roundworms in the eye, I’ve seen it in mammals (blech!!!) and I didn’t know what I was seeing....various google sources say it’s possible in horses, cattle, dogs but very uncommon. A fecal float is a first step for sure.
It is of course possible to get junk in the eye, a feather fragment, thread or hair....I pulled a 4” white pine needle out of my dog’s eye once, it was all the way in and only a small piece was poking out of the corner, she showed no distress before or after
