Why do my big girls keep ruffling their feathers?

I integrated our two brooders a week ago, we have 3 that are 3 weeks old & 5 that are 1 week old. They seemed to gel together pretty quick with only one of the older gals picking on the littles from time to time. But today the big girls have had their feathers ruffled almost all day and are acting flighty. Is this normal behavior? First timer here! Thanks
