why does my hen crow??

My hen use to lay 1 egg aday and now she doesn't, and why does she crow she is the only one I have so I'm wondering why she is doing this Please help???

Hmm...do you have a rooster? If not, I have heard that a hen will stop laying and sometimes 'become' one if one is not available!

This happens sometimes. Don't worry.

I have a peahen that layed eggs and suddenly had peacock feathers after she molted. She's still laying eggs and is perfectly healthy.

55 Yrs + around chickens and never heard a hen crow. Stop laying, yes, she will start again don't woory there. Now if you don't have enough roos for the number of hens you have, a hen will try mating some of the others.

I've never had a rooster (until now - my little Edward!), and I always had at least one dominant hen in the flock who seemed to take over that role. It's very interesting. I've never had one stop laying altogether, though.
Yours could very well be lonely if she's the only one left. Chickens are flock birds and they really don't know what to do with themselves when they are all alone.
