If you're able to handle him, can you look at his rump? Is it possible he has been bullied, or has gotten bored and started picking his tail feathers out? I would agree with higher protein, but it could also be an enrichment issue.

You can look up Broken Blood Feathers in relation to tails. I've seen this on Brahma feet but haven't seen it on tails yet (still a newb.)

Well when it gets late like around ten they all huddle around roo like on top in a pile so I'm thinking that's how it broke but I dnt know why it's growing so slowly I know he's not being bullied bc it took me like 4 weeks just get him to let me pet him

Greetings & Salutations. Welcome.

I'm not sure about the tail issue.

Lots to learn on this site, Enjoy.
