Why is she making this sound?

I'm no expert but unless I'm feeding or watering they run scared to death. I have1 duckling by himself in the brooder now. I let him react with a few week older coturnix quail 30 minutes later Separated the due to duckling having a bald bloody spot on his head. Whenever I doctor his head he acts like I'm killing him. And squeals. I have a few. Just a few. Years With ducks. But looks and sounds like she trusts you. She may made a impression...or maybe breeding age???

They have definitely been breeding a lot lately

ok so i’ve had ducks 9 years and i have two runners the same as yours and
that reminds me of a breathing problem from fungus called aspergillus
keep an eye on her she may need treatment
have you had any straw around that smells a little musty
That’s what happened to us, and my runner ducks were the most sensitive to it. The other ducks are fine for the most part.
I am still treating for aspergillosis using Oxine AH
The majestic waterfowl sanctuary has a good write up on aspergillosis treatment
