Hello. I have some young (~9 weeks old) EE pullets, and this morning I looked out my window to see that their coop was completely surrounded by wild turkeys. All my girls went inside the coop, but it made me worry that the turkeys might attack them. Pre-chickens, we have had wild turkeys charge at us while in the yard, so I know they can be aggressive.

Should I be worried? Does my setup look secure enough to keep the turkeys out?

I'm in a completely different country but in rural areas here there are large flocks of feral turkey that wander where they like. They often pass right by our chickens and even stop to rest under the trees nearby. We've never had any issues and our chickens are free range.

I don't know but I used to take care of a neighbors animals of which some were turkeys. I would put them in a pen similar to yours in the evenings. Their pen was at least 7' high. In the morning when I went to let everyone out of their stalls and the birds out, the turkeys were already out of their pen. They would go over the 7' chain-link fence. Eventually a roof was put over the top of the pen. Not sure but if those could get out I would think they could also get in.
