I noticed today that one of my broodys eggs is crushed in,about a finger tip sized spot,on the air cell side. They are due any day. I took it out and candled it and the chick hasnt broken in to the air cell, and the first membrane seems to be air tight still. The poor little guy is still moving like normal too. What can I do? Leave him with Mama, or put him in the Bator? I dont know exactly their due date.

Personally, I'd but it in the bator so you don't have to worry about mom puncturing the aircell when she's moving them around. Then after it has hatched return it to mom.

I went out there to go get it. Sadly the mama already crushed it more. The whole air cell is crushed in the membrane is exposed but still looks intact. I can see him moving around. Im so sad. I put the humidity super high and put him in the Bator. I dont expect him to pull through, but I rather him pass this way.:hi

So I brought this poor crushed egg in and put him in the bator so he could pass quietly. All the shell from the air cell side is missing, but you could see him moving up against the membrane. I put the humidity at 80%. Came back an hour later, still moving! I didnt know how else to keep the moisture in his "open" area, sooo.......i taped it up with clear tape. I know it seems totally ridiculous to even attempt to save him, but its worth a chance. I have nothing to lose and its worth a shot. Ive had crazier things in life work out. Well after being taped up all night, he is still moving around like a normal chick.!
