Will it be completely blue as an adult?

I've been told it'll be completely blue when it's older but I wanted to ask about it here since it has more white than the average penguin colored chick (and I'm still learning chicken genes). You can see the wing feathers in the white patch all growing in white at the moment, although the father carries mottling so maybe that has something to do with the white besides other stuff happening. The mother is a black langshan, the father is a dark blue birchen silkie mix.

I haven't done a whole lot of breeding with langshans so I thought the chicks would be all be black or blue with mottling or birchen since that's what usually hatches out.

Slightly unrelated but the nostril pigmenting is adorable.

Chicks that carry mottling will often have down that looks just like that of mottled chicks and they may have some mottling in their beginning molts but feather out non-mottled.
The white flights is typical of extended black based chicks though, they will molt out.

Okay, thank you

It will either molt it out and become all blue or be colored like that but I think it will molt it out.
