Will there always be rabbits available in California?

Will there always be rabbits available for pets or meat in California even though this state banned the sale of rabbits at pet stores in 2019?

I’m worried that after ten years my bunny will pass away and that I won’t be able to find anymore rabbits.

After reading about the pet rabbit ban in CA, it was instated to reduce impulse buys on inhumanely raised animals. You can still buy rabbits from breeders in your state or the next state over. I doubt the pet rabbit population will drop to very low levels anytime soon. They can multiply well, like rabbits.
