I am new to turkeys. I have a few ducks and a few chickens with 2 roosters. They all live together. The turkeys will have there own coop but will have free range with everyone else when the time is right. They will be put in there coop when the time is right and they will have weeks I'm sure of the protection of the coop from the rest of the flock. The space/coop for the turkeys is very open. Only wielded wire on the front. So They will be able to see everyone from the safety of the coop. I worry that the roosters will be aggressive to them when they are able to touch.
Yes I know chickens can carry blackhead disease.
I have had the baby's for 3 days now. Not sure how old they are. They are pets. They are Bronze

turkeys.

Make sure there's enough room for everyone to run and hide. I have had turkeys take offense to a particular chicken or try to breed them. A cockerel (broken back), a rooster (killed) and a couple hens (1 squashed, 1 head ripped up)

I have never seen roosters try to hurt a baby bird. My rooster treated my poults like any other baby chick, protecting them and giving them treats. Hens can be mean though.

I have had roosters eat chicks and poults if they escape from the grow out pen. Have also seen turkey hens gang up on roosters and tear them up. Be sure when allowing everyone together there are plenty of places for hiding or getting away from each other. Caution moving forward, but it can be done!

I have found 8-10 week old guineas dead in my coop from our rooster. Last year my hens raised the guineas and they set the rooster straight. Even have 1 guinea hen that hangs out with him for protection. I

I had a turkey hen go in the run and the hens started picking on her.
My toms don’t even try to go in with my rooster, but I have 2 free range hens that do fine with them.
