i had a hen go broody and was looking to expand my flock, so I ordered 2 fayoumi chicks, 1 black Sumatra, 1 buff orphington, all female, and a partridge rock male, I put them under her, and it well, but the chicks are only 4.5 weeks old, and the mom is already chasing them off, is that normal?

I have a hen that goes broody. She has been given 2 batches of chicks to raise. Once at 8 months, once at 12 months. The first time, her momma instincts were waning around 4.5 weeks, and was done mothering shortly after. Second time it took more like 6 weeks until her hormones were waning. She’s broody again (16 months), but am not planning to get chicks until August, so not sure she’ll get an opportunity to mother them -she may not be broody-we will see

Thank you for your help, it seemed to early for them to be pushed away, they all still have a the baby fuzz and very little real feathering.
