New to this! I have a broiler rooster who is currently 16 months old weighing almost 5kgs, I had him bred to my native hens which are 1/3 his size and now has his chicks to 1 month old. He was the runt of the batch resulting for him to be the only one I hadn't butchered, he was once at 1.5kg at 6 months and I prioritized him resulting in his comeback.

Pretty fascinated of crossbreeding him to other breeds since I'm still waiting for an Indio Gigante hen to come so I can cross him to her and am planning a threeway cross with hardier breeds. I'm also planning of backcrossing him with his chicks because I know that he isn't gonna last because of his weight and because of my appetite so that I could retain most of his genes without completely destroying the gene pool.
