    My roo got the tips of his comb frostbitten; I left him alone until they were starting to bleed. Brought him in, carefully washed the comb, dried it and added styptic powder. Seems fine

    I use sand in my coop and have added used coffee grounds from the local Starbucks. My younger birds and regular chickens don’t seem to mind or care. I haven’t seen any odd behaviors or issues. So works for me!

    I have a total of 3 Spitz’. I got them from a breeder in Grass Valley, Ca. Her name is Sydney Eto. Quite pleasant and I am pleased with the birds. I also have 2 Cream LegBars, but am starting slowly…for now;)
