I use free buckets with a lid from a renovation project to store chicken feed. The sizes vary from 3 - 5.5 gallons (12.5 - 20 liter). 1 contained paint and 3 contained a loam finish.
They are great to stack the chicken feed in our bike shed. Mice proof!

Recognise this for for the old fashioned work gloves. But now I found other work gloves that are made with new materials like PU.
Not good for the environment. But they have a good fit.

I used a dark fungi ‘paint’ as a preservative for my wooden chicken constructions (normal cheap wood).
Its not toxic and works great for over 5 years now. It needs a bit of line-seed oil every 2 years to keep the fungi alive.

If you leave the roots of the black locust unharmed it doesn’t grow invasive like bamboo does (proliferate?).

Black locust is not toxic for humans! It has a natural toxic in the wood against fungi. That’s why it lasts a very long in the ground and wet circumstances. The natural toxic is not harmful ! The toxic makes it necessary to use stainless steel. Normal screws get rusty in no time.
Robinia pseudo acacia is Black locust (didn’t know the English name initial))
Here they don’t sell sell it much at the DIY /timber shops. Mainly in specialised garden and outdoor building shops.

Not all wood you put in the ground needs to be treated.
Robinia pseudoacacia (robin?) is a wood used for poles and cladding in water. You need stainless steel nails/screws to attach.
