Thank you sir! Yes, I was cleaning an "empty" gun and it went off..shot through my hand, through my calf and into my new wood floor..lol. The embarrassing thing is that I am one of those NRA certified safety instructors. Luckily, no bones were hit and I am hoping for a full recovery.

Feeling frustrated because it's finally sunny and warm here, I have over 100 pallets stacked up, and I can't do a thing because I have 3 holes in me.

I actually can get 15 pallets, stood upright, onto the back of my Tundra. I do have a 6'x12' trailer, but refuse to register it since it cost just as much as a regular car's registration.

Was able to obtain 25 more pallets the other day, but all this snow is hampering me from moving forward to building something....I hate it. I'm now to over 100 pallets..lol

Thanks gtaus! I am hoping that this will be the last of my coop building, so I'd like for it to last for quite some time. I can always expand upon it, if/when the time comes, but want the basis to be as solid as possible. OK, time to check out Facebook Marketplace to see who is offering free...

I'm planning on building another coop that will be 3 pallets wide by 4 pallets long. Would like to have just dirt flooring and do a deep litter method on top. My question is, should I atleast place the bottom row of pallets on cinderblocks, to protect from the elements, or placing them...

One of my previous clients, for a Y2K project, was at a steel manufacturing plant and I needed to tour the facilities. They needed to issue me a pair of suitable boots, in place of my wing-tipped Oxfords, and I've had them ever since. Never had the need to use them up until now..hehe.

Yeah, person protection is a must. The wife now requires me to wear steel toed boots since I am so accident prone.

LOL..I actually do drive it down our driveway just to pickup mail. I'm currently brushhogging a trail in the back acres to prepare for opening season for deer this Saturday.

One of the first things I bought, after our house got built, was a John Deere 2025R tractor with a front end loader, backhoe, brushhog and snow blower. It cost us over $42k for the current setup, but it's been well worth it. I've been able to maintain our 12 acres relatively easily.

I forgot to mention, to keep this pallet project related, I broke my toe when I dropped a pallet on it...hehe
