Does anyone have enough stats or experience on the breed to contrast the two "blackest breeds"?

They both look similar in coloring, type, and breed background to me.

Does one breed run larger in body than the other? or does one make a better layer than the other?

Its true, a lot of breeds are similar to one another. The real difference is that they adapted in different climates and from different ancestors, with a different history. Its like the Australorp compared to the Orpington. They use to be the same bird, but now they aren't.
Ayam Cemanis are more like a game bird and do better in warm, moist climates.

So yes, they are very similar, and hard to tell apart, but their genetics are different so it is best not to mix them.

I hope, when I get enough money of course (they are so expensive!!) to get some Ayam Cemanis.

are the eggs of cemanis or svarts a tell to know if they are one or the other breed? I got bigger than jungle fowl trio that lays small cream whiteish eggs. what can i call them if Im not sure of the lineage?
