Boy or girl

So I ordered 15 sexed chicks (suppose to be all girls) from hoovers hatchery. I’m a little concerned about one being a boy, maybe because she’s become my favorite already. I’ve had barred rock in the past so you’d think i’d be able to tell already.

She is 3 weeks and a few days old and also the smallest out of all the others.

I agree. That looks like a lot of comb for only three weeks, but I would wait a few weeks to be sure.

Shes actually the least developed out if all of them. Wing and body size

Body size isn't an indicator. The slower feather development is another possible sign of male.

Also if the white on it's head is spread out and not in a perfect circle that is another indicator of a male...Let us know what you find...

I ordered 15 and have a few i’m concerned about! It sucks when you pay extra for it too. I’m only at 3 weeks but by 6 weeks i should be able to tell. Its hard because then you have to find them homes and i’ll always worry if its a good one.

I would say it is a cockerel. If you could take a photo in a few weeks so that we can have an updated version.
