I have 7 9 week old Brahma chicks and am trying to determine which are boys and which are girls. I think I have some sorted but they are proving a lot more difficult to pick than other breeds Ive had. I was initially told that the girls feather up faster than the boys, and I thought I had it sorted when they were younger, but some i thought were boys look very feminine to me now.

I'll try this one first....

Initially I thought it was male, feathered up slowly and went through a terribly scruffy stage.... but now not so sure..... tail is quite straight complred to some and i have to say with all these
Im really having trouble picking the saddle feathers...

Here is the whole crew...... the Cuckoos are clearly boys, and the black is a pullet.....the three light brown ones are very hard to get photos off individually that are good enough for id...... please excuse my old Millifluer Belgian in the corner....shes actually the boss hen and wasnt going to miss out on a feed.

Absolutely gorgeous! All appear to be pullets except the cuckoos including the blue buffs in this picture. The variety of the initial bird posted looks to be mixed but likely is part blue buff :)
