That’s a shame. Hopefully you can get whatever killed them before you loose more.Here are the girls from earlier, one of the hens got out and I think what ever got the 2 hens also got her. Hen in bottom is the hen I’m using for the project

I’m very disappointed in this years birds. Hopefully next year I can produce the birds I was hoping to get this year.
I caught a coon on my game game camera out in our field yesterday. I stuck the trap out there with the chicken it killed, peanut butter and some wet cat food so hopefully when I got out to check it around noon (deer season right now, most people don’t hunt at noon) he’ll be in there.That’s a shame. Hopefully you can get whatever killed them before you loose more.
The two top pullets have lovely eye color though, it really stands out in vibrancy even from far away.
Hopefully next year brings improvement. Anything exactly you’re looking to improve in that generation? Mottling? Foot feathering? Sorry, I’m in need of re-reading the whole thread.
