Do hatching eggs have to have veins

On some of our chicken hatching eggs, on day 10 we saw veins.
Now it is day 16 and we can't see veins anymore
but there is an air cell and a chick.
My mother said that the chick died and now she wants to discard the eggs with no visible veins because she said that the chick died in the shell.
My question is does the veins disappear just vanish when they were there when the chick dies?
Shouldn't we keep the egg?

Sometimes it gets very hard to see the veins when the chick gets large. At this point, if this is your first time, it will not hurt to let it go till day 22, as it is possible you are just missing the veins.

it's only a couple days left to go(day 18 to hatcher and 21 is hatch day)keep the eggs all in unless they are clear, cracked or smell.

After a while the chick and surrounding stuff gets larger and the egg isn't as transparent as it was. You don't get to see individual stuff as well as just a dark mass in the egg. DO NOT toss the eggs unless they stink or are seeping.

When I candled my eggs, I would turn it til I got the best view. By Day 16, that was holding the light thru the air bubble. Then wait for movement. I had one quitter. But I left the egg in just in case I was wrong.

The hardest part for me of the whole hatch was not opening the 'bator from day 18 til everybody hatched.

My eggs are on day 14. I can'T see veins, but I did see movement on some. I would keep them just in case.
