Ducks in sewage lagoon?

Hi all,
My ducks have recently discovered our sewage lagoon. Is it safe for them to be in there? Is it harmful for them and is it safe for us to consume their eggs? I've seen people keep ducks and geese in their lagoons, but it seems questionable to me. I tried to google it, but couldn't find an answer.

Not a good idea.

While there are not many illnesses that can cross species, if by sewage you mean household waste water . . . nope, keep them out of there. Because at some point you will be handling something that has the sewage they tracked in from the lagoon.
