After much studying, reading and looking at chicken poop, I believe at least 2 of my girls have cecal worms. (actually if two of them have it, all five of them probably do) I am going to get some Fenbendazole to treat them.

My question: Can these worms be passed on to humans? I have a fridge full of fresh eggs, but now I'm afraid to eat them. I know after treating the hens w/ medicine, that we should wait at least two weeks before eating the eggs again, but I was just wondering about the ones I have on hand. Should I throw them out?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

you can candle the fresh eggs for worms as the egg companies do, if no worm and you were not medicating them when you collected them they should be ok. eggs should be throughly cooked in all cases to avoid potential infection. just use your own judgement in the end.
