Large dark mass in the egg!

Cracked a brown egg this morning and it had this dark mass in it, any ideas? The egg was layed three days ago and had a very dark swirl on the end. The mass was soft but firm.

I hope it is a once in a lifetime experiance!

Never seen one like that before.
Do you know which hen and how old she is?
Could be a fluke, but I'd keep and eye on her if you can.

Bet you'll be breaking eggs into a 'test bowl' for a while huh?
