I thought it would be fun to open a thread about silkie stories or share about your silkies. I own 2 silkies. They live in their divided space in our chicken coop since our chickens aren't what you call friendly to silkies. Anyway, I own to silkie one a rooster and one a hen. I like to call them married because it suits them. It is always so cute to see them together walking side by side. During free time the male silkie Marshmallow won't defend himself from the other chickens unless his silkie wife Sweety is being attacked.

ty I probably will. I love sharing about chickens but my friends aren't exactly what you call chicken lovers. That's why I love byc.

Hatching eggs in person (not shipped) depend upon your state. Here, I get $20/doz. for pet quality and $40 for show quality (like yours). I may be a little low though.

I just paid $80 for 8 eggs (she threw in 3 extras) for show quality silkie eggs to be shipped because I couldn't find any around here and wanted some new colors/genes.

Well, it's a term when they look as nice as yours! I just call mine "the fancies."

your silkies are beautiful! I love the colors. especially of the grey one.
