I had two shell-less eggs two days ago, and then one of my Ameraucana/EE started leaving me a monster jumbo turquoise egg each day (yay!!!) but today, here's what I found as well:
My Golden Sexlink has been laying more or less daily for about two weeks, but this new egg is a mystery. Is it possible she just had an off day due to the high heat we've been having, or is this a new bird's first real egg?
Here's who I have in the coop (with their hatch date listed)
Golden Sexlink (March 20)
2 Ameraucana (March 20)
Giant Barred Cochin (March 20)
Sicilian Buttercup (March 8)
Partridge Penedesenca (March 12)
Who do you think is the most likely suspect, keeping in mind that Buttercups theoretically lay a white egg, and Penedesencas lay a chocolate egg.
Thanks for any help with this exciting mystery.
