Bubbling is a term for the starter rising. It looked like the starter rose very high in the jar based on seeing the starter residue at the top of the jar. Check for the rise and the sour smellLooks good! Is it french bread?

It is easy to misunderstand on the forums. Rehydrating is very similar to when you give someone a live culture. That is a bit faster but not the same as starting a new starter from scratchoh well forgive me
