I am looking for a screen for my chicken coop that is non-toxic to the flock and not a high risk to dogs either. I came across Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle because of its bloom, easy containment, and shade tolerance. It is cited as having low toxicity in mammals, however it says the long lasting red berries are attractive to song birds. I am assuming that this means that the berries are edible to chickens as well?

Anyone have any experience with this vine around their flock?

I have this in my garden. The chickens don’t eat mine but I don’t know if it’s because they have plenty of other perennials to eat or they just aren’t interested in it.
