Or will it be to hot in the summer and cold in the winter? it will be placed in the woods...so, trees will be shading it in the summer....and i will make windows in it and use fans....and for the winter, i would use old straw piled around the outside of it as insulation. Is this a bad idea? should i just go with making a wood one? thanks, Wendy

I would think that would be fine. Really in the winter just bed it down with deep straw...the biggest deal is keeping the goats out of drafts and wet weather when it's cold.

The one thing to watch for are sharp edges (roll the metal if you can) and rusty holes, etc. Also, a horned goat might really do some damage to metal siding just rubbing its head on it...one more thing to consider.

thanks guys! this really makes me feel much better! it would just be SOOO much easier to buy one of these from Lowes, then wait 6 months to have hubby build me a wooden one....
