Coop made from 90% recycled materials

This is the coop me and a friend made. (he did most of the hard stuff I just nailed and cut wood.)

This coop cost about $100 which was spent on flooring and other small things like latches. The last expense is buying blackjack for the floor and In a few months redoing the roof.

The coop is 8x8 and also has a 1' nest box station and on the other side a 1' food and water station. I will be replacing the door screen with hardware cloth and adding a shutter.

Granted this is our first chicken coop we've built so it's far from perfect. We got our plans online and modified it to fit more chickens. It was so much work but I am so satisfied it's complete!!!

Great work! I love seeing a good homemade coop. Not that coops from the store are bad or anything, it's just I love seeing new and unique coop ideas!

I love how it looks, rustic yet not messy (unlike mine). I think it's very cool how you recycled most of your materials. You should be proud, well done!

That'll bump up the cost....why re-do the roof?

Might want to re-do nest roof to be angled.
