Hi there. I have two of my 4 nearly one year old bantams that have been getting dirty vent feathers for several months. I initially thought it was because it was winter so they weren’t cleaning well enough. It is warmer now and after a thorough bathing the poop filled feathers have returned. The cochin is worse than the easter egger due to her fluff. The other two chickens seem fine.
Is this worms? Gleet? Something else?
At least one bird has grayish, watery, splatting poops but I can’t figure out who. The poo in their feathers is full on clumping manure. They seem to be eating their feed normally with occasional soldier fly larvae, and nibbling on my hostas for fun.
I’ve attached two (terrible quality) poo photos. Thanks for the help!
