I may later play around and organize this list better, but I thought it may be a good resource. If you have come across a Free Coop Plan not listed, please share!

No problem, glad someone got some use out of this. I think the thread could/should/would be stickied or added to the list. Which plan did you choose? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'm actually doing mine based off the Purina Plan with my own mods to increase the size and best use the space I'm putting it.

I liked the buildeasy. It is a 6 x 6 and the plans are on the website, or I could pay $5 and get a complete set. On the site some people posted pictures of their coops and one said he wished he had made it 8 x 8 instead.

This will be my first coop for 17 little silkies and if it doesn't fall down on me

I plan to build a 10 x 12 so I can get more bantams. I figured then I could get ducks and keep them in the 6 x 6.

The plan uses all 2x4s and I think I can handle that! The instructions are well written and pictures and illustrations are easy to read. I am pretty good with a hammer and saw, just need some guidance on how it all goes together. I am a little old lady and live alone, so it has to be something I can do without hurting myself.

I bookmarked several of the sites for future reference. There are a lot of nice plans on your list. Been searching for months and hadn't found anything I really liked enough to get started. That, and it pretty much rained for a month.

Thanks again for posting this.

Awesome! Good luck on the coop! Be sure to post pictures as it goes up. Hopefully you can find a friend to help you put it up though, sometimes you need at least one other set of hands. I've really put my hubby to work on ours!
