MJ's little flock

Yes. I work those hours from home. Work from home does not mean work less. The work still needs done.
I'm more productive when working from home. Classical music on the radio, planned short breaks for stretches instead of interruptions, proper lunches.. it's a far more productive and healthier life. But the risk of not noticing the time and working beyond the usual day length is high.

Pegsy may have been confined to the run for 36 hours, but that does not mean she's getting out of her bath to go forage in the wider garden with her friends.

She'll get up when she's good and ready.

Two more days of hectic, then I can start unwinding. It's also a hectic weekend with too much socialising planned, but I'm planning a day off on Wednesday.

Christa's moult continues. She has no tail at present and there are new red feathers strewn about the roost when I scoop the poops. Sometimes she looks miserable but I'm putting it down to the moult for now. The nights have been cold and she may be noticing her lack of feathers.

I worry about Mary's eyesight. I think it's slowly letting her down. Every now and then her depth perception isn't right. She's looking great though and seems happy.

Everyone else is flourishing.

The painter did half of the surface prep yesterday and he plans to come back each working day until the job's done. We had another chat about colours to make sure we're both on the same page. There's not much time to think about experimental colour schemes, so I went with a safe choice of heritage colours, with a pop of high gloss pale green on the front doors. It should look nice.
