rooster crows when hen lays

Is this rare or conmon? My light Sussex dosnt crow EVER now all of a sudden he crows when the hens lay eggs lol only sound he ever makes and only when the egg has been layed.

Both of my Bluelaced red Wyandotte roosters crow and carry-on when the girls start their egg song. Usually it's the girls that they flock with/breed. I thinks it's too funny. Like a puffed up new Daddy!!!!

Lol thanks. Never had it happen before so it was hilarious the first few times. Funny how our chickens can bring a smile to our faces over tbe silliest things lol
