I’m leaning toward it being a cockerel. Here are photos at 9 weeks old

3 week old Cream Legbar chick: pullet or cockerel?

Hi all- I received this fluff from a neighbor and she stated that it is a pullet. I don’t have enough experience with Cream Legbar chicks to agree/disagree. I do have a lovely 5 year old CLB hen in my adult coop but got her at a year old. What do you think: pullet or cockerel? Could it be too...

    Bivalent Marek Disease Vaccines?

Does anyone know where to get a bivalent version of the Marek Disease vaccine (eg. Zoetis POULVAC Marek vaccine or RISMA or Vectormune)? According to a local farmer, his vet says that the bivalent is the most protective version of the vaccine...I welcome all thoughts on this - thanks!

Swedish Flower or Speckled Sussex Hen?

Thank you for writing - The bird is beautiful so happy to hear that the neighbor most likely got what she paid for. These were her first chickens. Thanks for detail about the SS being more mahogany. The eggs from this hen are brown but given the landrace history and lack of a “tight” standard...
