Ok I'm going out on a limb here ...does anyone want Bobwhite/Mexican Speckled eggs. They will be mixed as that's what are being run together in the pen. Mexican Speckeled are a color mutation of the Bobwhite. Mine just started laying a week ago. I'm not going to be hatching any, so....there will only be a limited quanity, though, as not all the hens are laying.

A blurry pic of an interesting bird. Wild type patterning, but silver coloration. Another one I've got my fingers crossed for.

They're mostly sticking together for now, although a few brave ones have wandered off. Also a bit less shyāsome are letting me pet them.

They're loud and adventurous and messy and I'm hopelessly in love with them.
Have you hatched out any white ones or any other color besides the regular color?Doing good. I'm up to all my pens being full and about to set 120 eggs to raise some more
supposedly you have better luck ātamingā a solo according to an article I read on here when I first became interested in quail! But IME with my solo, she was more skittish and stand-offish even when I put her with others (pheasant chicks, rabbit, and gen-pop) the only bird she liked was stuffed rooster mama that she cuddled with that first 2 weeks!
