4 eggs left in the bator but no external pips. I'm shocked by all this YELLER in this mini hatch!

Every time I set a new batch of quail and enter it into the app on my phone I use to track that stuff I get a little bummed when I see that, yet again, eggs I'm just setting now are gonna beat the emus to hatching.

One of these days I'm gonna set a batch and the emus will be hatching before them, darn it.

First pipper is finally starting to make its way out of the egg. Still only two chicks in the incubator, but today is officially hatch day, so I'll be patient. I can see pips in almost all of the eggs, so that's good.

We saw 17 full eggs on Tuesday night. We also saw some that were either quitters, or clear, and the dark spots on the shell were messing with us.
12 chicks (one this morning) are in the brooder, and I have another chick that aspirated on its blood in the incubator. No, I didn’t touch it. I couldn’t have helped it anyway.
I am still waiting on the last three.

Yes. I've had much better success with around 30% humidity, letting it get up to 40-50% during pipping and hatching.
