If you can find a hen light enough to not crush them it seems to be fine. I think the biggest problem people have is the quail chicks like to stay still and cuddle for a while but the chickens will just Get up and leave them since chicken chicks would follow them

Can you think of any reason this male will only accept Italian females and attack other colours?

He is my only light brown.

Anyone know if the chicks that hatch out of my random celadon eggs have any chance of being celadon layers themselves? The female laying them was not specifically bred to lay celadon eggs but is from Myshire so

There's a chance. It's a recessive gene, so it will have to come from both sides. It's a hard one to breed for, though.

Edit: I have a hen that hatched out of a celadon egg. She doesn't lay celadon eggs, but the base colour is a white, almost celadon with normal speckles.

That is kind of what I was thinking. It would be a pretty unlikely coincidence if both parents just happened to have the gene. The eggs are so pretty though I may have to set some just because though.

They were trying to sell celadon but couldn't get the pass rate over 35% so they put it on hold or scrapped it.

One of my celadon hatched while I was gone though! He's so tiny and still on baby brain
