Yeah that was my problem as well. Most places wanted $40 to $60 or $70 just for shipping so it would have been like $60-$100 it was for a 50 pound bag though but still. No way haha

Back when the local feed store that I used closed, I seriously considered becoming a feed store. There is a market that the chain feed stores are refusing to fill. Fortunately Sutherland's Lumber carries feed and was happy to order a proper turkey or game bird starter for me. They benefit from this also because I send people to them because they are the only store in town that carries a proper feed.

Yeah it’s so weird to me that stores don’t seem to carry gamebird feed!! Especially when they usually sell turkeys!

I thought that I could have it delivered to the store since TSC does have the Purina one on the website but for whatever reason, that is not an option for that one.

Also unrelated but Chewy actually has a lot of Mazuri products for a lot of animals. Like a surprising amount!! Haha

Why don't you buy directly from Mazuri? That's where I get my chinchilla food. Shipping is expensive, but it's still cheaper than ordering it anywhere else.

It's never too late to start giving them proper nutrition.

The foods are all for different ages. I am sure the people on this thread can help you with when to feed what

Good point! Thanks! I just wasn’t sure if I should feed the starter or something else like maintenance or whatever. They’re eating this right now which it says it’s for quail but apparently it’s not??? I learned recently. And even if it is, this Mazuri stuff seems much better. It says chick starter but the tag says quail so hopefully I haven’t hurt them but I think I’ll switch feeds now that I know I can actually get one haha
