Yeah, theyā€™re so pretty but not worth putting so many that. Iā€™m not a super experience hatcher and I worried I had done something wrong but like you experienced it was just the silvers. All the other colors were fine.

Thatā€™s fun you have a celadon layer. Iā€™ve been thinking of adding some but wanted to find out if their were genetic issues attached to that like with the silver gene.
 
Is this a problem that can be solved with outcrossing or does it ruin them? If this is a very dumb question feel free to ignore, I am still just trying to learn about quail and color variation is something I know zero about. Obviously.


I think the main problem is they already have a lower breed true percentage and that basically gets cut in half when one isn't a silver
