Just found this tiny egg, almost stepped on it.

I find those now and then. Usually from a new layer.

From a chicken, I agree. Quail are new to me. Little bitty eggs with all yolk. Strange.

Well, I think I've learned the hard way not to fill my incubator completely. I've lost 8 eggs to crushing and my turner is now broken. As in the par that turns the rails. I'm going to be manually turning for the rest of this hatch. :-(

How old was the turner?

Think my turner would rather quail eggs be in it than chicken eggs

I packed mine once but took the turner out to do it. I figured witn non-starters and quitters I'd soon be able to put the turner back in. Nope. Nope nope nope nope...
