11 days until chicks! Any advice?

Our family has been doing research for a long 8 months and is now ready to put it to use. We are getting 8 chicks. Barred rocks and Orpingtons. (females) And I was hoping for some last words of wisdom! There will be pictures on this thread too when they are here.

I am also getting chicks soon...march 9 to be exact. I haven't had barred rocks yet, they are actually one of the breeds i am getting. i have had orpingtons though. good birds. very calm, friendly, and good layers. I really like mine. I'm super excited, and this is like the 7th time i've gotten chicks lol

Thanks! Turns out we will only get 6 but as they slow down on laying then we will get 2 more

I think I have chicks due about the same time. Couldn't remember when I set the eggs, but I think I have it figured out now. Been too busy lately! Lol
