Is it ok to feed 2 week old chicks cooked rice?

They love to eat it from our hand but I don't really know how much is to much.

Thank you

As with everything else, moderaqtion is best. I would see that each chick got some of the goodies but I would not let them overdo it. Hope this helps

I gave cooked rice to mine but after
they were 4 months old.
its better they get their chick starter feed.
it has all the nutrition they need.
But do give them fine grit. I use Hatz mountain grit.
and Welcome Koldham to BYC.

I've given cooked rice to chicks that age in small quantities. Make sure they have chick grit to aid digestion.

edited for typo

Thank you, I think I will make sure they just get a very small amount for now, and try to get everyone in the family to feed them chick feed by hand, because even with a feeder full they like to eat from the hand, and I believe thats the fun part. Thanks again.

Oh they love it and it has little to no nutritional value so make sure it is a treat only type food and in moderation.

My girls love steamed brown rice...they will stampede anyone bringing the "Rice Plate" into the run. LOL
